Title: PRESENTATIONS FROM ORGANIZATIONS CONCERNING A SPORT EVENTS / FACILITIES OPPORTUNITY The following organizations provided proposals concerning a sport event/facilities opportunity for the City of Barrie: 1. Barrie Sports Dome The Barrie Sports Dome presentation was rescheduled to a future meeting. 2. Barrie Cricket League Inc. Jashank Vyas, member of the Barrie Cricket League Inc. provided a presentation concerning a proposal for a designated Cricket field at Maitland Park. Mr. Vyas discussed slides concerning the following topics: · A video demonstrating the sport of Cricket; · A summary of the game of Cricket both abroad and in Canada; · A diagram illustrating a Cricket Pitch; · A summary on the Barrie Cricket Leagues need for a permanent Cricket facility in the City of Barrie; · The Barrie Cricket Leagues concerns with the current conditions at Maitland Park; · Information associated to the Leagues desired for a permanent Cricket facility; · A summary of the associated costs for a concrete pad with astro turf; and · The advantages of a permanent conc
