Mr. Erich Jacoby Hawkins, Living Green and Ms. Christine Bushey, Simcoe Muskoka District Health provided a presentation regarding an urban agriculture project and a potential pilot project.

Mr. Jacoby Hawkins and Ms. Bushey discussed slides concerning the following topics:

·	An outline of what is household food insecurity sometimes also referred to as “food poverty”;
·	The effects of not having enough food to eat and health impacts;
·	A chart depicting the cost of food and housing among low income earners in Simcoe Muskoka for 2016;
·	A chart illustrating of how healthy eating is out of reach for many;
·	The most vulnerable populations affected by food insecurity; 
·	The important roles could play in urban agriculture;
·	A definition of urban agriculture;
·	Suggestions on how to promote urban agriculture in the City of Barrie; 
·	An list of successes for the City of Barrie and other jurisdictions in urban agriculture; and
