Boyd, Parks Horticulture Foreperson advised that she attended the 2018 National/International Symposium and Awards Ceremonies held in Strathcona County, Alberta on September 29, 2018. Ms. Boyd stated that, at the Awards Ceremony, the City of Barrie received a 5 Blooms - Gold rating and a special mention for the Military Heritage Park. She noted that the City of Barrie also received an Outstanding Achievement Award for the National Capital Commission Floral Displays.
