Title: PARKING IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA Peter Dyck, Business Development Officer provided an overview concerning the status of declared surplus parking lots in downtown Barrie. P. Dyck advised that staff in the Business Development Department are in the early stages of investigating feedback, environmental assessments and appraisals for the properties. He noted that the City's goal is to revitalize these properties, meet the parking requirement for the downtown area and reduce financial obligations. The Committee discussed the parking issues in the Downtown area and noted that selling these properties for different uses may not coincide with an Age-friendly City. The Committee agreed to discuss this matter at a future meeting.
