Title: SCENT SENSITIVITY IN CITY OF BARRIE RECREATION CENTRES/POOLS P. McCarron, Facility Supervisor East Bayfield Recreational Centre discussed with the Committee a scent/chemical sensitivity concern that the East Bayfield Recreation Centre received from a member of the public. He commented on the various types of filtrations systems available for public pools. Mr. McCarron noted that signage has been placed throughout the recreation facility to try and discourage the use of scents, but noted that this issue is more difficult to enforce in a public building. The Committee provided their feedback to Mr. McCarron and suggested using education and awareness to promote scent sensitivity. D. Taylor suggested using the slogan "No scents make sense".
