Title: OPEN DELEGATION REGARDING THE SCATTERING OF CREMATED REMAINS IN A DEDICATED AREA ON MUNICIPAL PROPERTIES. Mr. Jeff Scott and Mrs. Susanne Scott owners of Steckley Gooderham Funeral Home and Peaceful Transition Inc. provided an Open Delegation regarding the scattering of cremated remains in a dedicated area on municipal properties. Mr. Scott commented that both Steckley Gooderham Funeral Home and Peaceful Transition Inc. handle a large volume of cremations. He noted that their businesses deal with families of different cultural backgrounds and they would like to be better able support their family's requests for scattering of cremated remains. D. Friary, Director of Roads, Parks and Fleet commented that the City of Barrie does have a commemorative program which enables residents and visitors to permanently pay tribute to a significant person by purchasing a Commemorative Bench or a Commemorative Tree.
