Title: DOWNTOWN THREE (3) HOUR PARKING LIMIT - BERCZY STREET (WARD 2) The Committee met and discussed the Downtown Three (3) Hour Parking Limit on Berczy Street. Two individuals (V. Abolins on behalf of himself and his wife N. Abolins and M. McLelland) addressed the Committee concerning the parking on Berczy Street. They discussed the following items: * The impact of the parking prohibition on both sides on Berczy Street for its residents; * The potential to only prohibit parking on one side of the street to allow for property owners and residents to park on the street; * The safety concerns related to permitting any parking on Berczy Street; and * The narrowing of the street in winter due to snow and the concerns related to winter maintenance if parking is permitted. Members of the Committee asked several questions related to the information provided and received responses from Mr. Abolins, Mr. McLelland and City staff.
