PRESENTATION REGARDING THE FUTURE PLAN OF MEMORIAL SQUARE
G. Diamantopoulos, Facility Capital Supervisor provided a presentation regarding the future plans for Memorial Square/Meridian Place.
He discussed slides concerning the following topics:
• An outline of the Memorial Square/Meridian Place project;
• An outline of the design of Memorial Square/Merdian Place from Council’s direction;
• The partnership and collaboration and the project delivery;
• The timelines associated with the reconstruction of Memorial Square/Meridian Place;
• An outline of the budget amounts associated with the project;
• An aerial view of Memorial Square/Meridian Place;
• A rendering of the Cenotaph at Memorial Square/Meridian Place;
• Conceptual drawings of future plans of Memorial Square/Meridian Place project; and
• The next steps in the project.
In closing, Mr. Diamantopoulos commented that plans for the project have not been finalized and that he was looking for the Committee to provide their feedback on accessibility as it relates to the project.
Members of the Committee asked questions of the presenter and received responses from City staff.
