R. Osborne, Supervisor of Enforcement Services provided an update from the Enforcement Services Branch of the Legislative and Court Services Department on matters related to:

* The recruitment of summer students for Property Standards;

* Complaints regarding residential draining violations.








J. Forgrave, Supervisor of Enforcement Services provided an update from the Enforcement Services Branch of the Legislative and Court Services Department on matters related to:

* Sign by-laws pertaining to advertising;

V. Cyr, Zoning Officer of the Planning and Building Services Department discussed the by-law pertaining to the parking of recreational vehicles on residential driveways.

B. Muscat, Executive Director, Student Learning Services at Georgian College advised that the College will pilot an online universal bus pass referendum this Fall with students located at the new Georgian College downtown campus scheduled to open in September 2017.

R. Calvano, Director of Campus Safety and Security at Georgian College advised that last year the College introduced a free mobile app called Safe@Georgian. Mr. Calvano noted that this app immediately connects users to Georgian College Security staff.

Sergeant J. Brooks of the Barrie Police Service noted that there were no recent community or safety issues to report in Ward One. Sergeant Brooks advised that effective June 1, 2017, regular police patrols will include bicycle patrols with uniformed officers.
