V. H-W provided an open delegation regarding the placement of a no parking sign between 25 and 27 Kingsridge Road.

 

Ms. H-W discussed the following slides:

 

                     An overview of the ongoing issues related to the placement of the “No Parking Sign” between 25 and 27 Kingsridge Road;

                     A picture illustrating the location of the “No Parking Sign” on Kingsridge Road;

                     References to the Zoning By-law 2009-141 and Urban Design Manual 2014 associated with the size of parking spaces;

                     A description and pictures of the parking space in front of 25 Kingsridge Road identifying the size of the parking spaces;

                     Her background;

                     Details of her concerns regarding parking on Kingsridge Road;

                     An outline of the steps she has undertaken in an attempt to mitigate the issue with the parking space on Kingsridge Road;

                     A picture depicting the measurements of parking space in front of 25 and 27 Kingsridge Road;

                     The concerns of her neighbour regarding parking on Kingsridge Road;

                     A request to relocate the “No Parking Sign” on Kingsridge Road; and

                     Pictures of vehicles illegally parked in her neighbourhood    

  

In closing, Ms. H-W discussed her concerns regarding the enforcement of parking violations on Kingsridge Road and the space available for on-street parking.  She reiterated her request to move the “No Parking sign located between 25 and 27 Kingsridge Road.

 

Members of Committee asked a number of questions related to the information provided and received responses from Ms. H-W and City Staff.  Staff from Roads, Parks and Fleet indicated that they will work with Ms. H-W to resolve her on-street parking issue, and move the “No Parking” sign.
