RECOGNITION OF RON STEVENS AND LYNN STRACHAN FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION WITH THE POWERSTREAM BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
Mayor Lehman recognized Ron Stevens and Lynn Strachan for their participation and many years of service associated with the Barrie Hydro and Powerstream Board of Directors. He highlighted that during their time on the Boards that twenty five percent of the portion of a Hydro Bill associated with the City of Barrie portion remained the same. Mayor Lehman felt that both Ron and Lynn positioned the community for the future and he noted that their contributions on the board have served the community well.
He thanked Lynn and Ron for their contributions on behalf of Mr. Nolan
He commented that Ron served as Chair of the Human Resources and Compensation Committee and Lynn served as a member on the New Business Committee.
Lynn expressed her appreciation to the Mayor, Members of Council and the former Barrie Hydro and Powerstream Board. She highlighted that during her time on the Board she learned a lot and was very excited to see what Alectra will bring to the community.
Ron expressed his appreciation for the recognition and he commented that he felt it was a great opportunity to serve on the Board. He noted that he hoped his contributions were as equal to what he gained from his experience.
