Title: PRESENTATION REGARDING PEDESTRIAN STRATEGY FRAMEWORK S. Rose, Manager of Traffic and Parking Services provided a presentation regarding the framework for a Pedestrian Strategy. Mr. Rose discussed slides concerning the following topics: * The Council's Strategic Priorities associated with well-planned transportation; * The framework associated with a Pedestrian Strategy; * Pictures illustrating different examples of pedestrian signage and traffic calming measures; * The methodology associated with the development of the strategy; * The factors that will be considered as part of the strategy; and * Four pictures illustrating other municipalities' pedestrian signage. In closing, Mr. Rose discussed the next steps in the process associated with the short term and long term measures to improve pedestrian safety. Members of the Committee asked a number of questions regarding the presentation and received responses from City staff.
