DISCUSSION REGARDING THE TAXI AND RIDE SHARING PILOT PROGRAM
R. Osborne, Supervisor of Enforcement Services provided an overview regarding the Taxi and Ride Sharing Pilot Program and the legislative requirements of the municipality, Provincial and Federal Governments related to the Taxi Industry. The Committee discussed their concerns related to the lack of Accessible Taxis in the City of Barrie and received feedback from Mr. Osborne. A member of the public discussed concerns related to the shortage of accessible taxis in the City of Barrie and times of availability.
Mr. Osborne suggested that the Committee and member of public provide their feedback to Enforcement Services concerning the Taxi Ride Sharing Pilot Program to advise of their concerns about accessible taxis.
