A. Fellows, Program Manager, Community Development and R. Lay, Fund Development Coordinator at the Catholic Family Services of Simcoe County provided a presentation regarding the Parish Outreach to Seniors (POTS) Slow Cooker Club.  Mr. Lay distributed the POTS Slow Cooker Club Evaluation Report dated April 2018.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Lay discussed slides concerning the following topics:

 

                     The POTS Slow Cooker Club is co-facilitated by the Catholic Family Services of Simcoe County and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit;

                     The promotion of the POTS Slow Cooker Club on a local television stations; and

                     Photographs of seniors and volunteers participating in the POTS Slow Cooker Club activities in Barrie during February and March 2018.

 

In closing, Mr. Lay requested that the Seniors Advisory Committee promote the POTS Slow Cooker Club to increase community awareness of this seniors program.  He noted that the POTS Slow Cooker Club will be launching in Orillia this week.  The Seniors Advisory Committee offered to provide a letter of support for the POTS Slow Cooker Club initiative.

 

The Committee asked questions regarding the information provided and received responses from the presenters.
