PRESENTATION FROM A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE LAKE SIMCOE REGION CONSERVATION AUTHORITY CONCERNING THE LAKE SIMCOE REGION CONSERVATION AUTHORITY’S ANNUAL OPERATING PRIORITIES FOR 2019
Mike Walters, Chief Administrative Officer for the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA) provided a presentation concerning the LSRCA’s Annual Operating Priorities for 2019.
Mr. Walters discussed slides concerning the following topics:
• An overview associated to the LSRCA annual operating priorities (AOP);
• The AOP activities for 2019;
• The description and timelines associated with the following LSRCA programs:
o Enhance Sediment/Erosion Control Activities;
o Smarter, Sustainable Building Practices;
o Reporting Key Environmental Trends and Change;
o Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Strategy;
o Operational Review - Authority Programs and Services;
o Asset Management Initiatives;
o Talent Management Initiatives;
o Improving Service Delivery: Plan Review;
o Scanlon Creek Operations Centre Renovation; and
o Planning for a new Nature Centre.
Members of Council asked a number of questions to Mr. Walters and received responses.
