Title: RANKED BALLOTS AMENDMENT #1 Moved by: Councillor, M. McCann Seconded by: Councillor, G. Harvey That motion 20-G-094 of Section "C" of General Committee Report dated June 8, 2020, be amended by deleting paragraph 2 and by adding the following paragraphs: 2. That in the Fall of 2021, the City Clerk undertake the steps provided for in Section 8.1 of the Municipal Elections Act to submit a question on the 2022 election ballot concerning the implementation of ranked ballots for the 2026 election. 3. That should a By-law to include the question concerning ranked ballots on the 2022 election ballot be passed by Council, staff in the Legislative Services Branch and Access Barrie include a plan to educate voters on the question as part of the 2022 Municipal Election Communications Plan. Upon the question of the original motion moved by Deputy Mayor, B. Ward and seconded by Councillor, R. Thomson the motion was CARRIED AS AMENDED BY AMENDMENT #1.

That motion 20-G-094 of Section “C” of General Committee Report dated June 8, 2020, be amended by deleting paragraph 2 and by adding the following paragraphs:
