TMP-18868 1  Item of DiscussionGENERAL UPDATES B. Muscat, Acting Dean of Students at Georgian College provided an update regarding the start of the school year at Georgian College. Mr. Muscat provided information concerning vacancy levels at the College’s on-campus student residences. Sergeant M. Holden of the Barrie Police Service provided updates concerning community issues in Ward One. Sergeant Holden noted that representatives from the Barrie Police Service and the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre met with the contractor for the Hwy 400/Cundles Road East/Duckworth Street reconstruction project. He commented that the Barrie Police Service is monitoring traffic volumes at this construction site during peak times. J. Forgrave, Supervisor of By-law Services provided an update from the By-law Services Branch of the Legislative and Court Services Department on matters related to: · The Property Standards staff assigned to Ward One; · The resident complaints; and · The recruitment of contracted staff to enforce overnight parking during the winter months.
