TMP-19347 2  Item of DiscussionSCENT SENSITIVITY IN CITY OF BARRIE RECREATION CENTRES/POOLS P. McCarron, Facility Supervisor East Bayfield Recreational Centre discussed with the Committee a scent/chemical sensitivity concern that the East Bayfield Recreation Centre received from a member of the public. He commented on the various types of filtrations systems available for public pools. Mr. McCarron noted that signage has been placed throughout the recreation facility to try and discourage the use of scents, but noted that this issue is more difficult to enforce in a public building. The Committee provided their feedback to Mr. McCarron and suggested using education and awareness to promote scent sensitivity. D. Jones asked the Committee for their input concerning the rules and implications regarding the use of mobility scooters on City of Barrie streets. R. Meier a member of Active Transportation Committee suggested that the definition regarding what is considered a mobility device needs to be changed by the Province.
