Malcolm Architects reviewed correspondence dated May 24, 2017 regarding the property owners’ proposed alterations to the heritage designated property located at 147 Toronto Street (Maple Hill). Ms. Krisko advised that a daycare centre would be opening at this property in September 2017. She reviewed the proposed changes to the interior and exterior of 147 Toronto Street to accommodate the daycare centre and noted that all existing heritage items are to remain. TMP-20686 1  Item of DiscussionPOTENTIAL LISTINGS FOR THE HERITAGE REGISTER The Committee discussed potential listings for the Barrie Heritage Register of three annexed properties that were previously listed on the Innisfil Municipal Heritage Register: 793 Mapleview Drive East, 180 McKay Road East and 54 St. Paul’s Crescent (St. Paul’s Anglican Church). The Committee also reviewed correspondence from the Township of Oro-Medonte dated March 15, 2017 regarding a potential listing of 190 Shanty Bay Road on the Barrie Heritage Register. 793 Mapleview Drive East: D. Pratt and H. Johnston of Pratt Development reviewed the current condition of its property at 793 Mapleview Drive East. Mr. Pratt referred to correspondence from Pratt Development dated May 12, 2017 that included photographs and topographic maps of the property. He noted that 793 Mapleview Drive East has been vacant for several years and that it has been significantly damaged through fire and vandalism. Exel reviewed correspondence from the Barrie Historical Archive dated April 18, 2017 regarding the production of a documentary entitled “Ladies of VR” featuring leading women in journalism at CKVR during the 1980’s and 1990’s. Ms. Exel explained that the Barrie Historical Archive is requesting financial support for the production costs ranging from $1,300.00 to $2,100.00. The Committee reviewed a spreadsheet of the Heritage Barrie Committee’s actual and projected expenses for 2017.
