C. Terry, Policy Planner of the Planning and Building Services Department reviewed Zoning By-law 2009-141 concerning seniors public housing. Ms. Terry clarified that Zoning By-law 2009-141 is a land use planning document. She advised that the Planning and Building Services Department is proposing minor housekeeping changes to Zoning By-law 2009-141 in order to simplify the definition of seniors public housing as well as to address issues concerning accessible parking spaces.
Ms. Terry noted that the proposed housekeeping amendments to Zoning By-law 2009-141 will be discussed at a Public Meeting to be held on April 24, 2017. | Received | |

C. Dillon, Accessibility Co-ordinator of the Human Resources Department advised that City Council adopted Motion 17-G-038 at its meeting held on March 6, 2017 regarding the Age-Friendly Community Planning Project Implementation Plan and Project Final Report. Ms. Dillon noted that input from the general public and seniors service providers obtained through surveys, focus groups, interviews and a community forum assisted in the development of this Age-Friendly Community Plan. She advised that recently other neighbourhood associations, the Probus group and a few residents have expressed interest in providing their feedback regarding the Age-Friendly Community Plan. R. Cotton suggested that these neighbourhood associations and residents be invited to future meetings of the Seniors Advisory Committee for the opportunity to provide their feedback concerning the Age-Friendly Community Plan.
