Boyd, Parks Horticulture Foreperson advised that the City of Barrie will be participating in the 2017 National Edition and International Challenge of the Communities in Bloom Program and competing in the “Canada 150th” category. She noted that the judges will be Alain Cappelle from Nieuwpoort, Belgium and Cliff Lacey from Sherwood Park, Alberta, who will arrive in Barrie on July 25, 2017 and depart on July 27, 2017. | Received | |

The Committee discussed the status of the following 2017 projects:
· The status of the Little Bloomers Program; and
· The possibility of the City of Barrie hosting a Provincial Communities in Bloom Symposium in either 2018 or 2019.
