Mona Boyd, Parks Horticulture Foreperson provided an update concerning the preparations of the 2017 Communities in Bloom (CIB) Program to be held at the end of July, 2017. Ms. Boyd noted that the deadline for participants to register is June 30th, 2017 and July 10, 2017 for the Little Bloomers Design Contest.
Ms. Boyd discussed the itinerary, the meal arrangements and accommodations for the CIB Program. She noted that once the registration is closed the final preparations will be made and forwarded to the Committee Members. | Received | |

Mona Boyd, Parks Horticulture Foreperson advised that Dorothy Ramsay and she attended Johnson Street Public School, to encourage young gardeners to participate in the Little Bloomers Design Contest in July. Ms. Boyd noted that they provided plants and supplies to the primary students of Johnson Street Public School in celebration of Canada’s 150th Birthday and the Little Bloomers Program. | Received | |
