TMP-23095 1  Presentation - AC/RCPOTENTIAL LISTINGS FOR THE HERITAGE REGISTER The Committee reviewed correspondence from the Allandale Neighbourhood Association (ANA) dated September 13, 2018 proposing that the following properties be added to the City of Barrie’s Municipal Heritage Register: 268 Bradford Street, 7 Burton Avenue, 25 Burton Avenue, 37 Burton Avenue, 4 Essa Road, 8 Essa Road, 59 Essa Road, 9 Granville Street, 5 Tiffin Street and 66 Tiffin Street. C. Colebatch of the ANA noted that these residential, institutional and commercial properties were selected by their Association based upon their age, heritage attributes and original features. Ms. Colebatch commented that these properties are included in the Heritage Barrie Walking Tours Guide. J. Morin-Reynolds reviewed the Heritage Barrie Committee’s current process to list properties on the City’s Heritage Register. Ms. Morin-Reynolds explained that the Committee’s process is to meet with the property owner, obtain the property owner’s consent and discuss the property’s heritage characteristics prior to listing the non-designated property on the   Action details Not available
TMP-23097 1  Presentation - AC/RCREVIEW OF PROPERTIES LISTED ON THE HERITAGE REGISTER FROM 2014 TO 2018 J. Morin-Reynolds reviewed the number of designated and non-designated properties listed on the City of Barrie’s Municipal Heritage Register during the Heritage Barrie Committee’s term from 2014 to 2018. Ms. Morin-Reynolds noted that there has been the addition of one designated heritage property located at 142 Collingwood Street. She also advised that 15 non-designated properties have been added to the Heritage Register from 2014 to 2018. Ms. Morin-Reynolds commented that the Committee’s objective is to continue increasing the number of properties included in the City’s Heritage Register.   Action details Not available
TMP-23083 1  Presentation - AC/RC2019 HERITAGE BARRIE COMMITTEE BUDGET The Committee discussed the expenses incurred by the Committee in 2018 and the budget remaining for this calendar year. Councillor Ward noted that the City’s Cultural Heritage Strategy dated September 2018 includes additional duties and roles for the Heritage Barrie Committee that may have future budget implications. T. Wierzba, Planner of the Planning and Building Services Department further explained that item 7.2.2(a) Actions and Tasks to Support Protecting in the Cultural Heritage Strategy refers to updating the designation by-laws for 16 designated properties on the Municipal Heritage Register. TMP-23087 1  Presentation - AC/RCDEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS UNDER REVIEW T. Wierzba, Planner of the Planning and Building Services Department advised that the Department has received a pre-consultation application for a site plan on 154 Burton Avenue and a building permit application to install a sign on a designated heritage building at 72 Dunlop Street E.
