M. Boyd, Parks Horticultural Foreperson discussed the 2018 Communities in Bloom Program and the two categories the City has the opportunity to participate in. The Committee agreed to participate in the evaluated “Circle of Excellence” category.
The Committee discussed the following opportunities to promote the 2018 Communities in Bloom Program and to involve the community to enhance green spaces within the City:
· Expand the Little Bloomers Program in local elementary schools;
· A booth at the Farmers Market;
· A Green Street Challenge in the Downtown; and
· Celebrate Barrie. | | |
