Boyd, Parks Horticulture Foreperson advised that she attended the 2018 National/International Symposium and Awards Ceremonies held in Strathcona County, Alberta on September 29, 2018. Ms. Boyd stated that, at the Awards Ceremony, the City of Barrie received a 5 Blooms - Gold rating and a special mention for the Military Heritage Park. She noted that the City of Barrie also received an Outstanding Achievement Award for the National Capital Commission Floral Displays. Ms. Boyd will provide the 2018 Judges’ Evaluation to the Committee at a future meeting.
