Mayor Lehman called upon David Morrison, Chair of the International Relations Committee and Youth Ambassador Program to provide an overview of the Youth Ambassador Program.  Mr. Morrison thanked City Council for the opportunity to express appreciation to the individuals and corporations in the community that have allowed the Youth Ambassador Program to grow and flourish over the years.  He stated that community support for the program is demonstrated by financial and in-kind donations.  He noted that the Program has allowed over 400 students to participate in cultural and academic exchanges with communities in Japan, Germany and China.  

Mr. Morrison recognized his former college Sandra Purchase stating that she was instrumental in the development of the Program.  A slide show highlighting aspects of her involvement with the program was presented.
