INAUGURAL CEREMONY
The Members of the Council-elect, His Worship Brian Norton were piped into the Council Chamber by Piper, P. Reid of the Barrie Pipes and Drums.
The National Anthem was performed by Jax Bruen from the Emerging Artist Program.
Wendy Cooke, City Clerk/Director of Legislative and Court Services read the Land Acknowledgement.

Ms. Cooke called upon His Worship Brian Norton to administer the Declaration of Office for the Mayor-elect.
His Worship Norton administered the Declaration of Office to Mayor-elect Alexander Nuttall for the Office of Mayor. His Worship Norton placed the Chain of Office on Mayor Nuttall.
Ms. Cooke called upon His Worship Brian Norton to administer the Declaration of Office for the Councillors-elect representing Ward One through Ten.
His Worship Norton administered the Declaration of Office to all Councillors-elect.
Ms. Cooke announced that in accordance with Section 232 of the Municipal Act, the new Council of The Corporation of the City of Barrie had been officially organized.
Ms. Cooke thanked His Worship Norton for his assistance with the inaugural meeting.
