Title: COMMUNITY SAFETY AND WELL-BEING PLAN K. K. Warner from Avail Consulting Ltd. provided an outline of the consultation framework for the refresh of Barrie's Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Plan.

Ms. Warner discussed the following topics of the consultation framework:

* The specific purpose of the consultation activities:
o Validate the current plan;
o Identify the gaps and emerging needs:
o Streamline and refocus;
o Strengthen the collaboration and ownership; and
o Align with evidence and best practices.
* The purpose of the consultation activities:

o Telephone polling;
o Resident survey;
o 1:1 interview;
o Presentation/Engagement sessions:

* The recommendation regarding people with lived/living experience;
* The roles and responsibilities of the CSWB Advisory Committee, the consultation team and the stakeholders;
* The anticipated outcomes relating to the refreshed CSWB Plan including:
o Community stakeholders;
o Community and stakeholder ownership of the Plan;
o Enhanced ability responding to risks and opportunities; and
o Data-informed and evidence-based framework for risks.
* The next steps for the Consulting Team.

The Committee discussed the consultation process related to the pros and cons of random telephone polling and mailouts. They agreed to not move forward with the telephone polling, and to do a mailout poll to three City Wards. The Committee commented on the resident survey and confirmed that the survey will be available to all residents in January 2025. They also clarified the provider survey process and that the organization's senior leaders will coordinate the comments to complete the survey.
