Title: BARRIE FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICE’S 2011 ANNUAL REPORT Fire Chief John Lynn provided a presentation regarding the Barrie Fire and Emergency Service’s 2011 Annual Report. Chief Lynn outlined the various branches of the Barrie Fire and Emergency Service and noted the three levels of defence utilized by the Fire Department. He compared the number of total incidents to the total number of apparatus response for the past five years. Chief Lynn provided the breakdown of the 2011 incidents by type. He highlighted the results of the five year average for the 6 minute road response and the 10 firefighters on the scene in 10 minutes response. Chief Lynn reviewed the communications revenue for the past five years. He related to the provision of dispatcher services to other municipalities and compared the City’s operating costs with the comparator municipalities as provided by the Ontario Municipal Benchmarking Initiative’s (OMBI) statistics.
