Title: HERITAGE BARRIE AWARDS The Committee discussed the 2025 Heritage Barrie Awards which includes a nomination deadline of November 10, 2025, planning for the award ceremony and reception, and gifts ideas for recipients. Camille Prospero and Shelley Marchant will research gift ideas and report back at the next Committee meeting. The Committee brainstormed ideas to increase the number of nominations for the 2025 Heritage Barrie Awards. The Committee discussed plans for the Heritage Barrie award ceremony and potential plans for a separate presentation to Council celebrating the thirteen new heritage designations. Kayleigh MacKinnon and Sarah MacKinnon will draft the framework of the presentation and report back at the next Committee meeting. Tammie Maynard, Legislative Coordinator will report back at the next Committee meeting concerning the 2026 meeting dates.
