Title: ACCESS AWARENESS WEEK K. Demberline provided an update on the proposed art contest for Access Awareness Week. Access Awareness Week takes place during the week of May 27th to June 1st, 2013. The Committee discussed ideas and suggestions for the event. K. Demberline will confirm with the school board to ensure permission is given to allow students to take part in the proposed art contest. The Committee chose to set up a sub-Committee for Access Awareness Week Planning. K. Demberline, D. Kerr, M. Papp-Belayneh, M. Crocker and C. Wilson will participate on Sub-Committee. C. Dillon, Accessibility Co-ordinator announced that on May 27, 2013 at the Southshore Centre a kickoff to National Access Awareness Week is planned. She noted that a representative from the Accessibility Directorate of Ontario (ADO) will be providing a presentation on the new Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR) on the Design for Open Public Spaces.
