RECOGNITION OF RICHARD FORWARD, GENERAL MANAGER OF INFRASTRUCTURE AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT FOR HIS WORK WITH GLOBALMEDIC IN THE PHILIPPINES
Mayor Lehman recognized Mr. Richard Forward, General Manager of Infrastructure and Growth Management for his work with Globalmedic in the Philippines. Mayor Lehman advised that GlobalMedic runs capacity building programs in post conflict nations and provides disaster relief services to large catastrophes around the world. He highlighted Mr. Forward's efforts in support the GlobalMedic Philippines Typhoon Haiyan Response mission in Eastern Samar, Philippines to provide the area with clean drinking water.
Mr. Forward, thanked Mayor Lehman and members of Council for the recognition and for acknowledging the importance of the Philippines mission. He described the strength and devastation of the typhoon that affected Samar, Philippines and the importance of the relief efforts provided by GlobalMedic. He thanked Carla Ladd, Chief Administrative Officer, the Executive Management Team and his staff for their flexibility in allowing him to participate in global aid efforts such as the one in the Philippines.
