PRESENTATION CONCERNING THE SHIFT GOVERNMENT PROJECTS
Mayor, J. Lehman and Andreea Campobasso, Design Partner provided a presentation concerning an update on the Shift Government Projects.
Mayor Lehman and Ms. Campobasso discussed slides concerning the following topics:
• An overview concerning the Shift Government’s initiative to approach complicated socio-economic issues and delivering solutions and alignment with Council’s Strategic priorities;
• The leadership of the Shift Government and its coordinated approach to deal with issues;
• The existing collaborations with Healthy Barrie, Collaborate Barrie and the Sandbox;
• The Shift Government’s methodology and approach;
• The Pilot Projects currently being undertaken by the Shift Government in collaboration with other organizations and agencies;
• A summary of challenges, solutions, outcomes and impacts of the following Pilot Projects:
• Connected Core: Downtown Pilot;
• Barrie Housing/Georgian College: FlashFood;
• Seniors/Students: Homeshare; and
• Barrie Housing: Flooring Challenge.
• Strategic Projects to expand across the sector;
• The idea of a City Human Infrastructure Plan;
