Title: SOUTHSHORE NATURALIZATION SUBCOMMITTEE REPORT Al McNair provided a report to the Committee concerning the 2019 activities of the Southshore Naturalization Subcommittee. Mr. McNair discussed the subcommittee's suggestion of consideration of the City prioritizing an Allandale Station Park Naturalization Management Plan for the 2021 Business Plan. He identified the preparation work for the site needed to be undertaken prior to starting the Management Plan such as a detailed site ecological inventory in 2020, City forestry plans for the site, ongoing gradual naturalization and removal of invasive species such as the dog strangling vine, garlic mustard, and poison ivy. Mr. McNair suggested that assistance from Community Partners such as Living Green Barrie, Nature Barrie, and the Barrie Native Friendship Centre could assist with completing the preparation work.
