Title: OPEN DELEGATION BY BARRIE COMMUINITY HEALTH CENTRE - TRANSIT SERVICE Stephen Bertelsen, Chair of the Barrie Community Health Centre (BCHC) provided an Open Delegation to City Council concerning transit service to 490 Huronia Road via Transit Route 35 Saunders. He explained that the BCHC re-located to 490 Huronia Road in the Eagle Ridge Professional Complex in November 2012. Mr. Bertelsen described the services available to citizens at the medical campus. He provided the criteria considered by the BCHC it made its decision to relocate, including future road construction and the proposed changes to the Barrie Transit system. Mr. Bertelsen noted that there are currently bus stops along Huronia Road and that the Saunders Route was re-routed to provide service to 490 Huronia Road at peak times during the day. Stephen Bertelsen, Chair of the Barrie Community Health Centre (BCHC) provided an Open Delegation to City Council concerning transit service to 490 Huronia Road via Transit Route 35 Saunders.  He explained that the BCHC re-located to 490 Huronia Road in the Eagle Ridge Professional Complex in November 2012.  Mr. Bertelsen described the services available to citizens at the medical campus.  He provided the criteria considered by the BCHC it made its decision to relocate, including future road construction and the proposed changes to the Barrie Transit system.  Mr. Bertelsen noted that there are currently bus stops along Huronia Road and that the Saunders Route was re-routed to provide service to 490 Huronia Road at peak times during the day.  He stated that he feels that all day bus service to the BCHC is critical to ensure equal access for all of the individuals who utilize the services offered by the Centre.  Mr. Bertelsen commented that he believes the existing bus schedule does not offer the ability to access the services offered through the day to all citizens and requested that City Council expedite all day bus service to the BCHC beginning in January 2013.
 
Members of City Council asked a number of questions related to the information provided and received responses from the presenter and City staff.
