Title: CALL FOR OPEN DELEGATIONS REGARDING THE FUNDING REQUEST FOR BAYVIEW PARK RESERVOIR DECOMMISSIONING AND REMOVAL (WARD 2) Michael Hassey and Rick Webster, 185 Dunlop Street, East, provided an open delegation concerning the Bayview Park Reservoir Decommissioning and Removal (Sam Cancilla Park). Mr. Hassey indicated that Sam Cancilla Park is underutilized, inaccessible, and fails to serve the growing downtown. He described the location of the park as a prime waterfront location along Kempenfelt Bay, which could provide an opportunity to enhance Barrie's waterfront. Mr. Hassey felt that the planned decommissioning of the old water reservoir provides an opportunity to rethink Sam Cancilla Park. Mr. Hassey and Mr. Webster shared a design concept for Sam Cancilla Park. Michael Hassey and Rick Webster, 185 Dunlop Street, East, provided an open delegation concerning the Bayview Park Reservoir Decommissioning and Removal (Sam Cancilla Park). 

 

Mr. Hassey indicated that Sam Cancilla Park is underutilized, inaccessible, and fails to serve the growing downtown. He described the location of the park as a prime waterfront location along Kempenfelt Bay, which could provide an opportunity to enhance Barrie’s waterfront.
