Title: RECOGNITION OF CIVILIANS FOR THEIR HEROIC ACTIONS RELATED TO A FIRE ON D'AMBROSIO DRIVE. Mayor Lehman called upon Alexzander Samuelsson, Devyn Samuelsson, Rylee Hart, Robert Graves and Corey Blowes to be recognized for their the heroic efforts during the fire that occurred at 101 D'Ambrosio Drive on July 12, 2014, and also invited Fire Chief Lynn to the podium. Mayor Lehman described the actions of each of the individuals who contributed to there being no casualties including, that Alexzander scaled the outside of the building and saved a woman living inside, that Devyn called 9-1-1, that Rylee and Corey knocked on doors to get everyone out of the building and that Robert pulled the fire alarm when it failed to go off. Mayor Lehman called upon Alexzander Samuelsson, Devyn Samuelsson, Rylee Hart, Robert Graves and Corey Blowes to be recognized for their the heroic efforts during the fire that occurred at 101 D'Ambrosio Drive on July 12, 2014, and also invited Fire Chief Lynn to the podium.

Mayor Lehman described the actions of each of the individuals who contributed to there being no casualties including, that Alexzander scaled the outside of the building and saved a woman living inside, that Devyn called 9-1-1, that Rylee and Corey knocked on doors to get everyone out of the building and that Robert pulled the fire alarm when it failed to go off. He expressed his gratitude for the clear thinking of the gentlemen and their presence of mind to help others.

Fire Chief Lynn noted that it was an honour to recognize the efforts of the gentlemen. He commented that their actions positively affected the outcome of the situation. He noted that the first two minutes of an incident determine the outcome and that the Fire Service can only respond once notified of a fire and the amount of time before the Service is notified is out of the Fire and Emergency Service control. In closing, Fire Chief Lynn stated that the men did a great job and ended up saving a woman's life. He commented that the men are truly heroes that went above and beyond to ensure that the residents of the building were safe.

Mayor Lehman presented Alexander and Rylee with Award of Merit medallions and certificates in recognition of their life saving efforts and a certificate to Devyn for calling 9-1-1. Mayor Lehman advised that Robert and Corey were unable to attend the meeting.
