REQUEST FOR EXEMPTION FROM SIGN BY-LAW 2018-029 - 833 YONGE STREET (WARD 9)
Councillor, S. Morales advised that he is no longer required to declare a potential pecuniary interest in the foregoing matter.
AMENDMENT #1

That motion 23-G-239 of Section “C” of the General Committee Report dated October 18, 2023, be amended by deleting paragraph 1 and replacing it with the following:
1. That a temporary exemption be granted to Pattison Outdoor from Sign By-law 2018-029 section 12.1.4.1.1 for a period not to exceed five (5) years for the placement of a poster panel sign with a single digital display board with a minimum setback of 4.0 metres from the City property line at the property municipally known as 833 Yonge St, with all other provisions of the Sign By-law being adhered to; and
2. That Enforcement Services staff review with Pattison Outdoor the possible continuation prior to the expiry of the five (5) year exemption and report back to General Committee if required.
AMENDMENT TO AMENDMENT #1

That Amendment #1 be amended be amended by:
1. In paragraph 1, delete the words “period not to exceed five (5) years”; and
2. Paragraph 2 be deleted and replaced with the following:
“That a clause be included that if the sign is required to be moved for future infrastructure projects the cost of doing so will be paid for by Pattison Outdoor.”
