Title: COMMENTS FROM OUTGOING STUDENT MAYOR(S) Giovanni E. Saldana-Carrera, St. Marguerite D'Youville Catholic Elementary School discussed his experience as Student Mayor. Giovanni indicated that his exposure to this program will be valuable for the future. He referenced his experience as an air cadet, and how they encourage citizen participation in the community. SWEARING IN OF NEW STUDENT MAYOR(S)

 

Tracy MacDonald, Deputy City Clerk called upon Michelle Okoroafor representing St. Peter’s Catholic Secondary School and Camille Chodokufa representing Hillcrest Public Elementary School to be sworn into office as Student Mayor. After being sworn into office, Michelle and Camille assumed their seats next to Deputy Mayor Thomson.

 

Deputy Mayor Thomson congratulated Michelle and Camille on their appointments as Student Mayors and welcomed them both to City Council. Members of Council introduced themselves to Michelle and Camille.
