Title: OSMOND J. ROWE RECOGNITION Mr. Ian Rowe provided a presentation requesting consideration to recognize his father, Osmond J. Rowe for his contributions to the City of Barrie in the form of a plaque or naming of a park in the City. Mr. Rowe provided a brief history concerning his father's contributions to the City of Barrie: * Practiced law for 58 years, and served 49 years as the City Solicitor for the City of Barrie; * Designed the City of Barrie and Simcoe County Law Association Coats of Arms; * Volunteered for several community organizations; * One of the founding members for the Barrie Yacht Club; * Involved in the development of Barrie's waterfront and establishing the Barrie Marina, the creation of Centennial Beach and Lakeshore Road; and * Recipient of the City of Barrie Sesquicentennial Award. The Committee thanked Mr. Rowe for his presentation and advised him that the Committee will consider this matter at a future meeting.
