Title: PRESENTATION TO ROBERT WIGGINS, SIMCOE COUNTY PARAMEDIC Mayor Lehman presented a Certificate of Recognition and a Barrie Colts' hockey jersey to Robert Wiggins, Simcoe County Paramedic to acknowledge his actions at a recent Barrie Colts Game that saved a man's life. Mayor Lehman explained that Mr. Wiggins used a defibrillator to re-start a gentleman's heart who had collapsed while waiting in line at a concession stand. He expressed his appreciation for his quick actions and noted that paramedics save lives every day on and off duty. Mr. Wiggins expressed his appreciation for the acknowledgement. He stated that defibrillators are of great benefit to the community as every minute without a defibrillator reduces the chances of survival by 10% for individuals suffering from a sudden cardiac arrest episode.
