BIKE THE NIGHT
Councillor, A. Kungl indicated that she has been working with staff on special events permits for the event. She mentioned that the working group had designed a poster for the event and are doing some outreach with staff and other organizations.
John Northcote discussed reaching out to the organization that held the Bike the Night Event in Guelph regarding the impending event in Barrie. Mr. Northcote mentioned the differences and similarities between the two events. He shared the draft Bike the Night Event poster and asked the Committee to provide any suggestions on additions, alterations, or deletions. The Committee discussed suggestions, such as a Save the Date pamphlet or poster to have at other events for promotion, partners listed on the poster, a directive on where to find information about the event, sponsorships, prizes, first aid on-site, and event insurance.
The Committee agreed to defer the discussion on event insurance to the next meeting.
