Title: SUCCESSFUL USE OF YIELD SIGNS - PAINSWICK Eric van Wesenbeeck mentioned an older neighbourhood in the City, Old Painswick, which contains a number of yield signs throughout. Mr. van Wesenbeeck inquired why the idea was never considered in other parts of the City, if it is operating efficiently and safely, rather than using roundabouts or stop signs, to reduce vehicle emissions and noise from stopping and starting. Mr. Gratrix advised that he was unaware of the yield signs in the area and undertook to inquire with Traffic Services as to why the yield signs exist, why it works so well, and why it would or would not be considered elsewhere in the City.
