Carey deGorter, Deputy City Clerk, called upon Maya Burhanpurkar of Codrington Public School and Andres Perez-Vilarino of Bear Creek Secondary School to be sworn into office as Student Mayors.
After being sworn into office, Maya and Andres assumed their seats on the dias beside Mayor Lehman. Dawn McAlpine, City Clerk, introduced the members of City Council and City staff to Maya and Andres. She noted that representatives of the community’s media were also in attendance.
