RECOGNITION OF BARRIE MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION Minor ATOM AE, ATOM AE, PEEWEE AA AND MINOR BANTAM AE tEAMS fOR WINNING THE 2018 ONTARIO MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIPS
Mayor Lehman recognized four Barrie Minor Hockey Association (BMHA) teams for winning their respective 2018 Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) Championships. He called upon the Coaches of the Minor Atom AE, Atom AE, Peewee AA and Minor Bantam AE Hockey Teams to join him at the podium to recognize their teams and to provide an overview of their teams’ season.
Mr. Shawn Gauthier, Coach of the Minor Atom AE team, congratulated all the BMHA hockey teams in winning their 2018 OMHA Championships. Mr. Gauthier congratulated his team on their hard work and dedication, and thanked the volunteers and the parents of the players in assisting in making the season a success.
Mr. Keith McLaughlin, Coach of the Atom AE team, expressed how proud he was of the hard work given by the 17 individuals that made up his team. He thanked the parents and volunteers that assisted in making the season a success. Mr. McLaughlin commented on the team winning a Silver Stick Tournament.
Mr. Jeremy Brown, Coach of the Peewee AA team, expressed how proud he was of the parents, players and coaching staff on their hard work and dedication in making this hockey season a success. Mr. Brown commented on the team winning a number of hockey tournaments included one held in Barrie.
Mr. Kevin Harris, Coach of the Minor Bantam AE team, commented on his team’s accomplishments, preparedness and in achieving their goals for this hockey season. He congratulated them on coming together as a team to achieve such a successful hockey season. Mr. Harris thanked the players, parents, volunteers and coaching staff for a great hockey season.
Mayor Lehman congratulated all of the teams on their accomplishments. He acknowledged the hard work of the parents and coaching staff in support of the teams.
