Title: RECOGNITION OF THE ONTARIO FIRE MARSHAL'S PUBLIC FIRE SAFETY COUNCIL, ENBRIDGE GAS DISTRIBUTION INC. AND BARRIE FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICE ON THE 2018 PROJECT ZERO CAMPAIGN Fire Chief Cory Mainprize provided an update on the partnership between Barrie Fire and Emergency Services, the Ontario Fire Marshal's Public Fire Safety Council and Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. on the 2018 Project Zero campaign. He advised that 342 carbon monoxide and smoke alarms were donated to the City of Barrie for distribution to the community. Chief Mainprize advised that the focus was to provide the carbon monoxide detectors to the more vulnerable populations in Barrie. He noted that the project aims at improved fire safety in homes, including reducing the fire and carbon monoxide related deaths.
