That motion 19-G-316 of Section “G” of the General Committee Report dated October 28, 2019 concerning use of City resources to support the Simcoe Muskoka Opioid Strategy and address the overdose crisis, be amended by adding a section h) to paragraph 1 as follows:

“d)                     That Connected Core representative / staff be requested to join the Barrie Chapter of the Human Services and Justice Co-ordination Committee.”

That motion 19-G-316 of Section “G” of the General Committee Report dated October 28, 2019 concerning use of City resources to support the Simcoe Muskoka Opioid Strategy and address the overdose crisis, be amended by adding a paragraph 7 as follows:

 

“7.                     That the Barrie Drug Awareness Partnership be requested to provide educational information to City Council concerning the impacts and implications of the usage of crystal methamphetamine within the Barrie area as well as any statistics available regarding changes in use patterns.”

 

CARRIED

 

Upon the question of adoption of the original motion moved by Deputy Mayor, B. Ward and seconded by Councillor, R. Thomson, the motion was CARRIED AS AMENDED BY AMENDMENTS #1, 2 and 3.
