Title: PRESENTATION BY GLEN COULSON AND LANCE CHILTON REGARDING THE DOWNTOWN COMMUNITY THEATRE FUNDRAISING INITIATIVE - SPONSOR ASSOCIATED WITH THE NAMING OF THE THEATRE. Glenn Coulson, Fundraising Co-ordinator and Lance Chilton, Chairperson for the Barrie Downtown Community Theatre Fundraising Committee announced to City Council that Charles Mady of the Mady Development Corporation has donated $500,000 for the naming rights to the theatre. Mr. Chilton stated that the theatre will be named The Mady Centre for the Performing Arts. Mr. Chilton provided an update on the fundraising initiatives to date, reporting that 61% of the goal has been reached. Mayor Lehman thanked Charles Mady and the representatives of the Mady Development Corporation for the remarkable gift to the community and their commitment to the City of Barrie.
