Title: OPEN DELEGATION BY JESSICA TALIANA CONCERNING TESTING AND TREATMENT OPTIONS FOR LYME DISEASE. Jessica Taliana provided an open delegation to City Council concerning testing and treatment options for Lyme disease. She provided information concerning her family’s personal experience with lyme disease such as; statistics concerning the disease and requested that City Council endorse a petition started by Member of Provincial Parliament Bob Bailey. Ms. Taliana explained that the petition is requesting that the Ministry of Health direct the Ontario public health system to include all currently available and scientifically verified tests for acute and chronic Lyme disease diagnosis, create public awareness and have internationally diagnostic and successful treatment protocols available to patients and physicians. Members of City Council asked a number of questions regarding the open delegation.
