Title: BARRIE IN 250 YEARS BY JUSTIN SPEAR Justin Spear, a grade seven student from Cundles Heights Public School presented his school project entitled “Barrie in 250 Years”. He explained that his history project required him to use his imagination and describe what he thinks Barrie will look like in 250 years. Justin explained that he believes Barrie will be the 10th largest city in Canada in 2262 and provided an image of what he believes the waterfront will look like in the future. He noted that he believes that Barrie’s population will grow to 952,000 in 250 years. Justin described various methods of transportation citizens may utilize to travel to various places within the City in the future. He shared his concept of the skyway 400 that will transport people from Barrie to Toronto in less than 15 minutes. Justin Spear, a grade seven student from Cundles Heights Public School presented his school project entitled "Barrie in 250 Years".  He explained that his history project required him to use his imagination and describe what he thinks Barrie will look like in 250 years.  Justin explained that he believes Barrie will be the 10th largest city in Canada in 2262 and provided an image of what he believes the waterfront will look like in the future.  He noted that he believes that Barrie's population will grow to 952,000 in 250 years.  Justin described various methods of transportation citizens may utilize to travel to various places within the City in the future.  He shared his concept of the skyway 400 that will transport people from Barrie to Toronto in less than 15 minutes.  Justin provided examples of various modes of transportation and different types of housing available to citizens in 2262.  
 
Justin predicted that Barrie will discover the invention of Solar Powered Hydro Conductors (SPHC) that will provide over 50% of the City's hydro needs.  Justin commented that in addition to the SPHC's he believes solar panels and wind turbines will also be utilized to generate energy for Barrie.  In addition, he provided details concerning another invention that will generate energy called the Trash Receptacle Animation Particalizer (T.R.A.P).  He concluded by encouraging residents to visit Barrie and enjoy what it has to offer.
 
Mayor Lehman thanked Justin for the presentation and members of City Council asked a number of questions concerning the information provided and received responses from the presenter.  Justin acknowledged his friend, Lucas and his teacher Mr. Henninger for their support.
